Welcome return from US based tenor sax star Benn Clatworthy, a former member of the Horace Silver band, and musical associate of edar Walton, Lionel Hampton, Jimmy Cleveland, and many other jazz greats.
Benn is a truly impressive modern jazz tenor who Ronnie Scott rated as one of the best UK players that he had ever heard.

Benn Clatworthy Quartet
Modern jazz quartet who are led by Benn Clatworthy, a brilliant post-Coltrane tenor saxophonist who mixes fiery energy, melody and dynamic control. Benn Clatworthy, a Londoner by birth, has settled in the U.S. and has made his mark (and living) playing on the USA’s West Coast. His playing has a distinctive, full and emotive tone and he is an accomplished improviser and emotion stirring balladeer whilst having echoes of the penetrative dynamism of John Coltrane. The rhythym section is led be Liverpool guitarist Anthony Ormesher (‘Magic Hat Ensemble’), ex 'Loose Tubes' bassist Steve Berry and London based newcomer Josh Morrison on drums.
