Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band
Established in 1884, the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band is regarded as one of the World's premier brass bands. The band has performed all over the UK and Europe and made over 200 BBC broadcasts. Also, accompanying many international artists including Paul Robeson, Cleo Lane, Julian Lloyd Webber, and Nigel Kennedy. They have won every major title including European Champions, British Open Champions, Yorkshire and Edinburgh Champions, Granada Band of the Year, and BBC Best of Brass Champions.
