Roman York: An Ancient City Revealed
York (Roman Eboracum) was unique in Roman Britain in being both a major military base and urban centre. Its remains are largely buriried below the modern city but archaeological investigations have revealed many of its secrets, including buildings, streets and details of the daily lives of its people.
