Hyde Park Picture House venue photo

Established in 1914, the Hyde Park Picture House is one of the UK’s oldest cinemas and is located just outside of Leeds City Centre. The Grade II listed building features an ornate balcony, gas lighting, operational 35mm projectors and a cosy, friendly atmosphere. It screens the best independent, art house and classic films from around the world for the folk of Leeds and beyond to enjoy. And occasionally hosts live music events, and comedy performances. Regular film strands at the cinema include:

Family Friendly Films - Exciting films that audiences of all ages can enjoy. Every Saturday at 12 noon. Tickets are just £1 for kids and £4.60 for adults.

Creatures of the Night - Late night cult films for film loving night owls. Every other Saturday, 11pm.

BYOBaby - Our Bring Your Own Baby screenings allow parents and carers to enjoy the cinema with their little ones, without worrying about disturbing others. Features include raised lighting, lower volume levels and a safe accommodating atmosphere. Every other Wednesday, 11am, tickets £4.60 including free hot drink.

Tuesday Wonders! - Our chance to highlight those hidden gems which might otherwise be missed. Films which are important, challenging, original and daring. Every Tuesday, early evening.
