Patronage, Power And Politics: 175 Years Of Women’s Role In The Arts

Salon day curated by Harewood House and Alchemy, bringing together an international cast of artists, thinkers and cultural commentators. Performances, displays and discussions will explore ideas on the significance of 175-years of women's role in the arts, from the start of Queen Victoria’s reign to the present day, in terms of women as artists, patrons and curators.

Through its imaginative explorations of the past and the present the Patronage, Power and Politics Salon Day captures and distils the very essence of the vision of Allegories of Power.
