Never miss another 'Grace Petrie' show
International Women's Day: Grace Petrie + Jasmine Kennedy
Grace is a young troubadour and singer of passionate, politically aware songs. In 2010 Billy Bragg invited her to share his Leftfield stage at Glastonbury. In his words, she "stole the f#c!ing show, sister!" Combining witty observations of everyday life with effortlessly beautiful melodies, Grace's brand of new folk punk has earned her a nationwide reputation.
In support is local lass Jasmine, her soulful voice often compared with Tracy Chapman's. This 20-year-old from Batley has immense talent, an endearing charm & a wicked sense of humour.
A great Leicester acoustic singer-songwriter, counting Billy Bragg amongst her fan base. She writes indie folk rock songs (a couple with an acoustic punk twist), plays the guitar and sings with a voice that has been described by listeners as similar to Laura Marling, Kate Nash and nothing you’ve ever heard before.
