Opera Highlights: Scottish Opera
Musical highlights from favourite productions celebrating Scottish Opera’s diverse history. Full of energy, versatility and plenty of humour, a cast of four young singers and a pianist perform a line-up of excerpts from Company favourites including Bizet’s Carmen, Puccini’s La bohème, and Mozart’s Don Giovanni, as well as music by Handel, Rossini, Britten and Strauss, and some surprises from lesser-known works. A favourite with audiences across Scotland, this gem of an evening has something for everyone, from seasoned fans to opera first-timers.
The fantastic cast features The John Mather Charitable Trust Scottish Opera Emerging Artist Katie Grosset, Scottish soprano Eleanor Dennis, baritones Duncan Rock and Gary Griffiths, and Scottish tenor Nicky Spence, fresh from playing Tamino in our five star production of The Magic Flute.
