Karine Polwart won the Best Original Song & the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Artist at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2005 as well as being twice winner of Best Original Song at the BBC Folk Awards, she's collaborated with King Creosote, Chris Wood, Roddy Woomble, Tim O'Brien and even the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
