About this event
Following critically acclaimed productions of La Bohème and Lucia di Lammermoor, Opera Bohemia returns to Lossiemouth with Puccini's Madame Butterfly.
Their production, set in modern day Japan, received a great reception from packed audiences in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy.
Rising Scottish star, Catriona Clark, returns to sing the role of the naïve Cio-Cio San, leading a cast of up and coming professional opera singers.
This tale of love, sacrifice and heartbreak promises to be a memorable night for opera lovers and newcomers alike.
Opera Bohemia
Opera Bohemia is a dynamic new opera company dedicated to providing performance opportunities to young Scottish singers, musicians and directors and to bringing opera to a wider audience throughout Scotland.
Founded in 2010 the company's debut production of La Boheme played to packed audiences in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Kirkcaldy in August 2010 and enjoyed an enthusiastic critical reception.
