Iago: Love And Make-Up

Adapted by Richard Harker from William Shakespeare's 'Othello'.

Iago is a stage manager, who has been promised to play Jean Valjean in the next recast of Les Miserables. His career hopes are ruined when Cassio, a young and handsome, recent graduate and new member of the company is given the role by Othello, since Desdemona is such close friends with Cassio. Othello sees this as a way to become more than friends with Desdemona.

With the help of his friends, Emilia and Roderigo. Iago will achieve his revenge by playing everyone against each other, through a scheme of lies and manipulation. Although ultimately it is Iago himself who is victim of his own scheme, manipulated by someone close to him.
