Dan Walsh, Meaghan Blanchard

This one-off show features Dan Walsh (www.danwalshbanjo.co.uk/) - touted as the finest banjo player in the UK as well as being a superb singer, songwriter and guitarist - and Canadian singer-songwriter Meaghan Blanchard (meaghanblanchard.com/).

Blending traditional English and Canadian folk music, Dan and Meaghan will perform songs that they have crafted together alongside their own solo material.

Dan plays the banjo with a unique and eclectic style taking in folk, funk, bluegrass, jazz, rock and even Arabic. He uses the clawhammer technique, which covers lead, percussion and chords at once.

Meaghan draws audiences in with gorgeous vocals and captivating songs. Influenced by some of the greatest female country singers of all time, like Emmylou Harris, Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton, her latest album was awarded 'country recording of the year' at the 2014 East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs).
