Sherlock Holmes And The Canary Girls

It's the third year of World War One. The Canary Girls, as Britain's women munitions workers are known, are as vital to the nation's survival as the forces at the Front. Three are found dead, their bodies mutilated in a similar way to Jack the Ripper's victims nearly thirty years ago. To prevent the collapse of the armaments industry's morale, the British government turns to Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson to investigate the grizzly murders in complete secrecy.

Are the murders part of a German espionage initiative, the work of a copycat Jack the Ripper or the swansong of the original Ripper, inexplicably revived? Holmes’ and Watson's forensic talents are stretched to the limit and their partnership is on the point of breakdown by the time the mystery comes to its thrilling climax. The plot's twists and turns, despite Holmes’ rapid insights, are guaranteed to keep the audience guessing until the last gasp.

Sherlock Holmes and the Canary Girls extends the exploits of the original Conan Doyle characters to beyond the outbreak of World War One.
