Fairy Tale Kingdom

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, Halifax is throwing a right Royal week of magical fairy tales to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration.

Drawing on a mix of fairytale traditions and stories, this week will help children discover dashing heroes, wicked villains, charming princes and beautiful princesses with a range of Eureka! fairytale characters.

There'ss be regular Princess Workshops where aspiring young hopefuls can learn what it takes to be royal for a day, while in the first floor Creativity Space children aged 5 and under can get a taste for wearing right royal headgear by making crowns and coronets.

Around the museum there will be mayhem and intrigue as two very ugly sisters go in search of their elusive prince (to no avail) while dashing knights battle it out to win the affections of an equally elusive beauty who might just, if her dreams come true, become a princess.

Will everyone live happily ever after or will it all end in tears? Join the unfolding story by coming along to the Fairytale Kingdom of Eureka! where a week of fun activities will link the imaginary world of kings and queens with our very own royal history.
