In their 70s heyday this big, loud and brash progressive heavy metal band, became one of the UK's most popular exports. Since the debut 'Very 'eavy, Very 'umble' was released in 1970 almost thirty musicians have worked with this constantly touring band. This group are an album making machine and still possess the ability to surprise and innovate.

A singer and songwriter from Belfast. He has a unique live show that mixes an old gramophone with passionate vocals, piano playing and the occasional fiddle scrape. The songs are beautiful and romantic, drawing on a bygone age whilst resonating in the present. The Dykeenies
The Dykeenies are an art pop four piece from Glasgow named after the race of creatures from the movie 'Willow'. Hailing from the Glaswegian satellite town of Cumbernauld, they comprise of two brothers - Brian (vocals/synths), and Andrew Henderson (bass) - and two childhood friends, Steven Ramsay (guitar) and John Kerr (drums), all aged between 20 and 25. There were originally 5 members but Alan Henderson (guitar) left in December 2008. Influenced by The Cribs, Bloc Party and The Futureheads, they are ones to watch.

Grungy alt-rock from Birmingham band Redwood, with influences as far ranging as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Foo Fighters, to Led Zeppelin and Jeff Buckley. Live, they have a massive sound and Alistair Cowan's vocals are as raw and passionate as they are polished and pitch-perfect.
