I grew up to the sounds of Renbourn and Jansch, Stefan Grossman, Hooker and Cooder so as the Americans would put it I was in hog heaven listening to your exquisite guitar work. I saw Ry Cooder last year and his 'Vigilante Man ' was wonderful- but if your voice doesn't quite have the crazy man growl of Cooder your playing more than makes up for that- it was bloody wonderful."
Rick Payne
Widely recognised as one of the new generation blues guitar players, Rick is renowned for his authentic acoustic styles, and master of the slide guitar leading to comparisons with early Ry Cooder and Bert Jansch. He is an experienced performer and his work has taken him to BBC TV, Channel 5 TV, on tour to USA, Europe and Scandinavia and the main stage at blues, folk, jazz and classical festivals.
