For The Love Of Mrs Brown: Brendan O'Carroll
BAFTA Award Winning Mrs Brown's Boys are back for their biggest arena tour to date and will be heading across the UK throughout 2013 with their new show 'For The Love Of Mrs Brown'.
'For The Love Of Mrs Brown' is part 4 of the hilarious series written by and starring Brendan O'Carroll. The new tour follows the phenomenal success of BAFTA Award Winning Serial Comedy Mrs Brown's Boys on BBC One.
'For the Love of Mrs Brown' shows a small slice of life for Agnes Brown as she deals with Granddad's Viagra addiction, her flamboyant hairdresser son and his partner's bickering, her daughter willing to go under the knife to get a man's attention, not to mention the appearance of Superheroes in her own home!
All this while she tries to find herself a date for Valentine's Day.
Brendan O'Carroll
One of Ireland's top comedians and comedy writers, best known for his character Mrs Brown. He first breathed life into widower Mrs Agnes Brown back in 1990 when Irish radio station RTE commissioned him to write a series of short stories on the character he had created. The series ran for three years with over 500 episodes and thus immortalising Agnes in Irish folklore. Following this success, Brendan wrote a series of books based on the indomitable widow and her children which went on to become best sellers across the globe. Such was the interest that Hollywood beckoned and a movie followed in which Hollywood icon Angelica Houston starred in and directed, entitled 'Agnes Brown', which remains a firm Christmas favourite on TV channels around the world.
