Reel Iraq: Reel Music: Lord Erragal + Hasan Bressm
Taking place on the weekend of 21 – 25 March, the fourth edition of this cross-cultural UK based festival is the biggest yet with over 40 events taking place across 9 cities including London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Glasgow, Derry, Newcastle, Stirling, Leeds & Dumfries.
Marking 10 years since the US and UK led military invasion, and standing in solidarity with the people of Iraq, Reel Iraq will explore the contribution of art, culture and creativity to Iraqi life in a time of conflict.

Lord Erragal
Spawning from the rising emo, punk and gothic subcultures coming out of Baghdad, Lord Erragal is a multi instrumentalist who specialises in re-creating soundscapes against a backdrop of eerie piano melodies and haunting vocals.

Highly regarded in Iraq and with many TV appearances under his belt, Hasan Bressm plays the oud and other lutes and has made eight albums since his debut recording in 1987.
