Descarga Dance Salsa Timba Advanced

Whilst all classes work on a drop-in basis, Descarga Dance do encourage you to take the 6 week block in order to develop your learning and get the most out of the course. They also recommend you book in advance where possible as classes get quite busy - partcularly the Rumba, Advanced Salsa Timba and Regueton classes.

This is a special class indeed - but one Descarga regulars would expect from the master of Cuban timba and rhythmic trickery, Yainer Carbonell Vegueriz! We are bringing together all the best elements from our broad range of classes into one hour - this is a class for anyone who has some experience of cuban dance or is an advanced salsero and wants to a) take it further b) have outrageous fun whilst c) unwittingly developing your knowledge of Cuban rhythms (incl. cha cha cha, son, rumba, folklore, mambo, papalote, zapateo…) and d) building your repertoire of dance moves!

Each week we’ll be mixing it up across the various rhythms, and if you’re brave enough, putting it into a rueda! Watch out - this is fast paced and there's nothing else like it! If you’ve danced Cuban salsa for a while, have had a taste of rumba, fancy the contra-time, enjoy a challenge and live for music and a laugh, this is for you.

Throw yourself into the real spirit of Cuban dance and by week 2 you'll feel more alive on the dancefloor than you thought possible!
