Rumba Class With Yainer Carbonell

Open class, suitable for all levels, incl. those completely new to Rumba.

This class is run by folklore expert and Descarga Dance artistic director Yainer Carbonell Vegueriz and will take you through the fundamentals of this quintessential Cuban popular dance form - looking at three of the 5 key styles of rumba, Guaguanco, Columbia and Yambu - breaking down the basic moves, exploring the underlying rhythms and working on body movement and interpretation.

This class really will enrich your understanding of Cuban music and particularly help to develop your Salsa repertoire. For those with some experience of Rumba, then this class will significantly help to train your body further in the central movements and passes. You are strongly encouraged to book in advance as this is a very popular class.
