About The Kings Of Summer

A sweet coming-of-age comedy drama that garnered much praise on the indie festival circuit. Joe (Nick Robinson) is going through that awkward stage of his adolescence. He is becoming increasingly frustrated by his lone parent Frank (Nick Offerman) who combines dry wit with a tendency to try to manage Joe’s life for him. His best friend Patrick (Gabriel Basso) finds his own parents (Megan Mullally and Marc Evan Jackson) similarly grating. With the long summer stretching ahead of them Joe decides that they should build a secret house in the local woods. Somehow collecting a strange boy named Biaggio (Moises Arias) along the way, the friends will be challenged by the wilderness as they strive for an existence free from adult supervision.
