After some rubbish sequels and two needless reboots, the chainsaw has been dusted off once again. Story-telling wise this is a direct sequel to the original film: after the massacre in 1974, one young woman escaped and the townspeople learnt the truth about Leatherface and his cannibalistic family. An angry vigilante mob burnt down their home and assumed that there were no survivors. Decades later a young woman named Heather (Alexander Daddario) finds out that she has inherited a large estate near the town and takes her party-loving friends on a road trip to investigate. They discover a lavish, isolated mansion and Heather is delighted to be the owner of such swanky digs. But the house hides a terrifying secret in the basement.
