About One Chance

The true story of an ordinary man with an extraordinary voice. Paul Potts (James Corden) is a shy amateur opera singer who works at Carphone Warehouse. Mild-mannered and bullied throughout childhood for being overweight, Paul is nonetheless determined to pursue his musical dream. With extra encouragement from his Internet chat room girlfriend Julie-Ann (Alexandra Roach), he enrols in an opera course in Venice. He is given the privilege of singing for Pavarotti, only to give a less than impressive performance due to nerves. When he makes it onto the local stage, he collapses due to the after-effects of a minor operation. Under the watchful eye of his loving mother Yvonne (Julie Walters) and stern father Roland (Colm Meaney), Paul enters into Britain's Got Talent and his luck begins to turn.
