About Hot Fuzz
Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Hot Fuzz is the duo's third collaboration with director Edgar Wright since hit TV series Spaced and spoof zombie film Shaun Of The Dead. Police Constable Nicholas Angel (Pegg) is a top London cop who's so good at his job, he's making everyone else look bad. To save face, the Met decide to send him off to the sleepy village of Sandford, where he's paired with the ungainly Police Constable Danny Butterman (Frost). At first Sandford appears to be the model of rural England, that is until a series of grisly 'accidents' begin to reveal the dark underbelly of village life... As a parody of police action movies, it's also right on the money, but actually, it's as much homage as it is satire, as they recreate some of the cheesiest scenes from the 'classics' of the genre with palpable affection. However, not as verbally witty as its predecessor Sean Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz still delivers a script that is both blisteringly funny and genuinely action-packed. Also starring Bill Bailey, Steve Coogan and Bill Nighy.
