In a happy suburban neighbourhood sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbours, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Here - surrounded by a small army of minions - lives Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), a man that delights in all things wicked and vanquishes all who stand in his way.
