About Dark Horse

In his mid-30s, self-deluded and lonely Abe (Jordan Gelber) clings to the trappings of his adolescence. His bedroom is filled with an extensive collection of toys, action figures and posters. He works for his disappointed father (Christopher Walken) and spends his time bidding for collectibles on eBay and beating his adoring mother (Mia Farrow) at backgammon. His older brother Richard’s success as a doctor only fuels Abe’s anger over his failures. When he meets depressed, socially awkward Miranda (Selma Blair) at a wedding, he thinks that he has a chance at winning her heart. Miranda is surprised by his ardour, and her own arrested development causes her to accept his marriage proposal. But as they prepare for a bewildering new life together, Abe's doubts manifest in strange delusions that could undermine his happiness.
