About André Rieu’s Home For Christmas
The “Home for Christmas” program is filmed primarily at Rieu’s house, a romantic medieval castle in his hometown of Maastricht in The Netherlands. Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, soloists and choir, André performs 26 holiday classics in his snowy, beautifully decorated garden and Saint Pierter Church across the street from his home. Relaxing by his fireplace, André tells a Christmas tale and shares with the audience how he celebrates Christmas at home.
