Be My Baby
Be My Baby by Amanda Whittington is set in a mother and baby home in 1964 in the North of England. Follow the story of Mary Adams, aged 19, pregnant, and having to cope with the shame and the dawning realisation that she will have to give her baby up for adoption, like it or not.
‘Whittington cleverly coats the bitter pill of her characters' experience with the sugared naivety of popular girl-group routines.’ The Guardian
