Entertaining Mr Sloane

Sloane, a handsome drifter with a mysterious past arrives as a boarder at a family’s home adjacent to a dump site. Landlady Kath is ostensibly willing to rent her room to make a little extra cash and is more than willing to have the attractive, sensual, young Sloane around the house for company. Desire, anticipation and jealousy emerge when Ed, Kath’s brother, appears to compete for Sloane’s affections - all to the irritation of old man Kemp.

Murder, homosexuality, nymphomania and psychotic behaviour are among the themes of this black comedy which is contrary Joe Orton at his wittiest and acerbic best.
