The clang of the bell, sloppily-worn uniforms and the bellow of adolescent voices - all that's missing is the stench of school dinners. John Godber's play set at a crumbling secondary school sees an idealistic new drama teacher struggling with a lack of funding and fighting to direct the energy of his students, who are more intent on locking teachers in cupboards or sneaking a smoke. Teechers is a fast paced play-within-a-play and an energetic, funny drama.
