Stage 2 Youth Theatre

Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Stage2 are devising their own interpretation, set over the internet: Alice’s Adventures in Www.Land!

Alice, 15 from Birmingham, has always identified with Alice in Wonderland, and has now created an online wonderland of her own. We track Alice as she immerses herself in the original adventures through social networking. She follows the White Rabbit, hopping from tweet to tweet, tumbles into the Caterpillar’s blog and encounters the King and Queen of Hearts over a tense game of solitaire.

Alice is confused about identity and relationships, and seeks validation via Social Media. This play will be suitable for the whole family – those with no knowledge of the www.land that is the internet, will still appreciate this tale as a vivid, exciting and engaging piece of contemporary theatre.
