Hedda Gabler

Hedda Gabler - haughty, ambitious - has married the studious, unworldly George Tesman – an unlikely match, some think. Her pent up frustrations are exhibited by her fascination with her father’s pistols.

Hedda meets her former lover and George’s academic rival, Eilert Lovborg. Her desire to control him by reigniting his passion sets him on a self-destructive course. A family friend, Judge Brack, sees through Hedda’s motives: now Brack has control over her. Where is Hedda to turn?
