The Wind in The Willows
Polka’s twist on the classic, which shows a different side to the well known riverside characters as they strive to rectify the balance between humans and nature, offers a heart warming alternative to Panto over the winter months.
This adaptation by Toby Hulse features an original musical score by composer Martin Ward who is also celebrating the revival of his 2002 score for the Royal Opera House’s The Wind in the Willows ballet this winter.
In addition to the performance, Polka Theatre has worked in collaboration with the prestigious Wimbledon College of Art to create a unique, themed art exhibition around the building: ‘Messing About...’. Students have taken inspiration from the timeless Kenneth Grahame novel to create an exhibition that brings the whole theatre to life in beautiful and unusual ways for children.
