Descarga Salsa Timba

This is a special class indeed - but one Descarga regulars would expect from the master of Cuban timba and rhythmic trickery, Yainer Carbonell Vegueriz! We are bringing together all the best elements from our broad range of classes into one hour - this is a class for anyone who has some experience of salsa or cuban dance and wants to a) take it further b) have outrageous fun whilst c) unwittingly developing your knowlwedge of Cuban rhythms (incl. cha cha cha, son, rumba, folklore, mambo) and d) building your repertoire of dance moves!

We'll be starting with some Timba (footwork for salsa), each week focusing on one or two different rhythms, and developing a move for partner or rueda work. Watch out - this is fast paced and there's nothing else like it! Throw yourself into the real spirit of Cuban dance and by week 2 you'll feel more alive on the dancefloor than you thought possible!
