Sugar

It is February 1929 in the city of Chicago. Joe is a jazz saxophone player, irresponsible gambler and ladies' man; his friend Jerry is a sensible jazz double-bass player. Together they accidentally witness the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre. When the gangsters, led by 'Spats' Palazzo spot them, the two have to run for their lives.

The pair of musicians soon find themselves caught up in a tale full of laughter and romance in a bid to stay out of the hands of the gangsters. They find themselves disguised as women who play for an all female band. Joe however falls in love with the lead, Sugar, whereas Jerry finds himself pursued by a millionaire!
