'Love. Guts. High School' tells the story of Bonner's 10 year retrospective journey of love, identity, and the loss of innocence. Told through a series of stories taken from Bonner's own adolescence-to-adulthood diary entries, the play follows the love, infatuations, laughs and losses of a young Bonner as she journeys through teen years reliving life and decisions made during the awkwardness of her Year 9 first crush to her sassy "Beverly Hills 90210" style teen sexuality.

The play dissects the treacherous landscape of teenage dating and reveals answers to one of life's fundamental questions "How much can a messy teenage relationship alter or shape the person you become?"
