Wojtek The Bear
A story of love and loyalty, heroism and hope. Theatre Objektiv's award winning production tells the extraordinary story of Wojtek, the Polish soldier bear, who fought at Monte Cassino and died in Edinburgh Zoo. The journey takes us from war-torn Poland, through the Soviet slave camps and the Middle East, into the battle of Monte Cassino and,
finally, to post-war Scotland. With Wojtek and his "mother", Polish soldier Piotr, a Gulag survivor, we travel through war and peace.
