Pentabus Theatre Company

Pentabus, the nation's rural theatre company, is marking its 40th birthday (and the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War) by commissioning a haunting new play from one of the UK's most exciting new writers.

Each Slow Dusk by Rory Mullarkey is a contemporary look at the impact war had, and continues to have, on rural communities. It's about the legacy of the war on the theme of history and forgiveness: how myths are made about events through the art that comes afterwards, how individual stories become communal experiences.
