A farce, set in the 1920s: Country gent Aubrey Allington and his wife Louise are in serious financial trouble, with debtors at the door. He then inherits a life interest in a fortune left him by a relative. If Aubrey dies, the money will go to his long lost cousin George. Aubrey and Louise hatch a cunning plan for Aubrey to 'die' ( thereby wiping out all his debts) and reappear as his cousin George. Got it? Well it gets even more complicated...
