Andrea Duffell Art Exhibition

Returning to the Christchurch Regent Centre for an Autumn Exhibition is established Local Artist Andrea Duffell. The former model and Miss Poole started painting from school using an unusual Victorian technique creating portraits of cats and dogs in oils on black velvet. However, due to a worldwide shortage of Black Cotton Velvet material, Andy has had to stop creating this attractive and unique art form. So if any body has a secret supply of Black Cotton Velvet for Andrea’s oils on Velvet, then do let the Regent Centre know on 01202 499199. Please note that Silk and Nylon Velvet are not suitable.

In the absence of her famous Oils on Velvet, Andy will be exhibiting about 30 of her other works at her Exhibition at the Regent in Christchurch from Saturday 19 October – Friday 8 November.

In 1990 “Andy”, as she had become known, developed into Palette Knife work, producing studies of Forest scenes in oils, more recently adding emotive Seascapes capturing the tranquil beauty of the area. In particular, Mudeford, Christchurch, Sandbanks and Moyles Court will all feature in Andy’s Exhibition.

Andrea’s exhibits at a number of venues throughout the year and her work can now be seen on walls from Moscow to Sydney and South Korea, putting Christchurch and Mudeford well an truly on the international map!
