La Nova Singers

Acclaimed classical choir La Nova Singers kick off their 10th Anniversary celebrations in style this December with an evening of atmospheric Christmas music.

Fans of 20th century composer Benjamin Britten will be in for a treat, as the group will perform his 'Ceremony of Carols', accompanied on the harp by special guest artist Katie Salomon. Lyrics taken from Medieval poetry combine with otherworldly music evoking the mystery and excitement of the Christmas story.

After treating themselves to mulled wine in the interval, the audience can enjoy traditional Christmas songs and carols such as 'Gabriel's Message' and 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' to round off the evening.

The all-female ensemble formed in 2004 and have recently been featured on BBC Radio 3. Their Christmas concerts regularly sell out, so early booking is advised. Mulled wine and mince pies available to purchase in the interval.
