Interplay return to Chesterfield Jazz Club with a new album, 'Global' under their belt. Their appearance here last year got great reactions and judging by recent plaudits they are really hot just now - their latest gig at Warwick Arts Centre was acclaimed as 'something of a triumph'.

The band features creative veteran Alan Wakeman on saxes, outstanding trombonist Richard Baker, and Neil Hunter on keys, who is well known to Chesterfield audiences. Adrian Litvinoff (basses) and Dave Balen (drums, percussion) bring their distinctive rhythmic approach to the band's repertoire of original tunes, jazz favourites and global grooves.

In case that all sounds slightly serious, a recent reviewer said Interplay 'bring exuberance and an instant atmosphere of fun', while Gilles Peterson described 'Global' as a 'beautiful record'.
