The Pirate Queen
From the composers behind 'Les Miserables' and 'Miss Saigon' comes the musical sensation, performed by Spotlites Youth Theatre.
Based on the true story of legendary Irish clan leader Grace O'Malley, who led an extraordinary life as a pirate chieftain, lover and mother in 16th century Ireland.
Determined to live her dreams, Grace stows away on the pirate ship, 'The Pirate Queen', and proves her skills as a pirate becoming their leader. The newly appointed queen, Elizabeth I, learns of the Grace's attacks on her ships and vows to defeat this 'Pirate Queen' at any cost.
Stirring Irish music, Elizabethan costumes, Irish dancing, pirates, battles and sweeping musical numbers will make this an evening to remember.
