A poem written by a 12 year old dyslexic boy provided the inspiration for both the sounds and images of Andrew Lewis’s Lexicon, a work which explores both the challenge and life-affirming creative potential that dyslexia can bring. Sebastian Currier’s inspiration came from a very different source.
Following Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans in 2005 his multi-media collaboration with video artist Pawel Wojtasik evokes a vision of the city submerged in a watery world haunted by musical fragments from its jazz past.
