Wales is currently undergoing a renaissance of native compositional talent. Catch-up with some of the latest names on the circuit in this concert of work by composers both born or living in Wales. Works featured include music by past and present Resident Composers, Guto Puw and Mark Bowden.
Chloe Hanslip
It's difficult to pinpoint the moment when a child prodigy makes the transition from being a rapidly rising star to an established performer. For anyone who hears teenager Chloe Hanslip perform, the message is simple - she's arrived! Chloe has recorded two highly acclaimed CDs with the London Symphony Orchestra and won the award of Young British Classical Performer 2003 at the Classical Brit awards. She has performed as soloist with, amongst others, the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle, Royal Scottish National, Malaysian Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony and Seattle Symphony orchestras.
