With a tradition of over a hundred years, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra is one of Europe's great orchestras. For their first visit to St David's Hall they perform one of the great classics of Polish music: the passion and luscious beauty of Szymanowski's Stabat Mater and Beethoven's Choral Symphony: a work of titanic intensity, wild fantasy and nobility in which he introduced his famous choral Ode to Joy.
