Geology Rocks!
A celebration of geology to celebrate the 21st birthday of the Geological Society in South Wales.
Visit the main hall for geological displays and come behind the scenes of the Geology Department to meet the museum scientists, find out about their research, and discover how they look after the collections.
In the morning at 11:00am there will be a special lecture with Professor Iain Stewart (presenter of Volcano Live, How to grow a planet, Men of Rock & How Earth Made Us), Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre. Book on arrival.
Later in the day between 1:00pm and 2:00pm there will be behind-the-scenes tours of the Geology Department, book on arrival, places limited. Please note that these tours may not be suitable for people with mobility restrictions. Not suitable for those under 8 years.
