Lleisiau / Voices

From the fire and brimstone of revivalist preachers, contemporary poetry slams of ancient verse to Burton reciting Dylan Thomas, Wales has a rich and varied history of the performance of the spoken word.

Lleisiau / Voices is a performance project produced by a creative partnership between Chapter and Good Cop Bad Cop, presenting live and mediated presentations of a wealth of vocal stylings, formats and techniques, from Wales and internationally.

It is a commissioned project as part of Dylan Thomas100, a year long programme of cultural and academic activity inspired by the life and work of Dylan Thomas, to mark the centenary of his birth.
