Back In The Game: Micky Flanagan
One of British comedy's biggest stars, Micky Flanagan has announced a huge new tour for 2013.
Travelling the length and breadth of the country, Micky's Back In The Game Tour follows on from the huge critical and commercial success of last year's Out Out Tour, where over 200,000 tickets were sold and all 150 dates a sell out.
Micky's DVD, The Out Out Tour, has been the number 1 selling stand-up DVD in 2012, with his show stealing performances on the small screen earning him a prestigious British Comedy Award nomination and The Sun's Comedian Of The Year Award.
Micky Flanagan
Razor sharp wit and no nonsense delivery with a classic working class East End background. He could have been a gangster, or a street urchin... Instead he went off to university and became a wordsmith. Not much call for them in Hackney, so he learnt a trade: being a comedian. His star exploded on to the comedy circuit a couple of years ago with a brilliantly observed Edinburgh Fringe show about his rise from working-class Herbert to middle-class ponce, and being caught awkwardly between the two. The show brought him well-deserved acclaim with a best newcomer nomination at the if.comedy awards (now the Edinburgh Comedy Awards). He has since gone on to appear on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Roadshow, Have I Got News For You and Celebrity Mastermind (chosen subject...'The Boss' - Bruce Springsteen). He also brought the house down as part of the all star bill at Channel 4's Comedy Gala Live At The O2 alongside the likes of Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre, as well as fronting his very own Radio 4 series, What Chance Change? in 2010.
