Helen O'Brien
BBC Comedy Award Winner Helen O’Brien is an accomplished performer and writer. She began her career as a member of The Durham Revue comedy group, before joining Off The Ground Theatre Company, where she starred in a large number of productions including Romeo and Juliet, Wyrd Sisters and Witches Abroad. Here she also played the lead role of Rita in Educating Rita. Helen has performed in and written for sketch shows at The Edinburgh Festival and has been part of the writing team for Sex Bombs, a new pilot for BBC Northern Ireland. She can be heard regularly as Mystic Val on Johnny Saunders Saturday Sports Show on BBC Radio Berkshire.
