Don Pasquale: Swansea City Opera (formerly Opera Box)
Don Pasquale is one of Donizetti’s funniest operas and has a typically complicated plot, concerning a silly old man who wants to marry in order to punish his rebellious nephew, but who is tricked into marrying his nephew’s lover.
Beautifully staged in English with elegant 1840s costumes, and performed by some of the finest singers and orchestral players in the country, Don Pasquale contains some of Donizetti’s loveliest music and makes for an enchanting and hilarious evening’s entertainment – a feast for the eyes and ears.
